California is for visionaries. It demands your very best. Drawing inspiration from the world around us, we strive for creativity and passion. We are up for any adventure, any challenge, and are driven to excel. We take our work seriously, but never ourselves.
In today’s marketplace, brands must be innovative, forward thinking, flexible and distinctly social. To thrive is to embrace this fluidity—or better yet, stay ahead of the curve. Meeting these challenges, we see this shifting tide as an opportunity to build up your brand in a smart and relevant way.
We believe in creating meaningful relationships. It’s why we’ve built a successful team of partners and collaborators. We want to partner with you, creating a fun, easy experience that is always professional. The best relationships are ones built on honest dialogue and respect, and our aim is to work with you to achieve your goals. We want to help introduce your unique brand to the world.

Meet our Director of Operations, Savannah Amdor. She has a wealth of experience overseeing international sales of consumer electronics, as well as coordinating major commercial and industrial builds. She learned to have a strong work ethic at a young age, knowing that the greatest goals are only accomplished from the sweat and hard work of the day-to-day grind.
In her off time, Savannah loves spending time with her family outdoors. She, along with her husband and four year old daughter, are true adventurers, whether that be camping in the wilderness, off-roading, or a bike ride along the beach. She believes that working hard means you get to play even harder.
Savannah brings that same sense of fun and adventure into our own West of 5 family. Her years of managing major projects from ideation to completion will help West of 5 dream big, turning those dreams into reality.
Shaun Busby is one of the founders of West of 5. As a partner, Shaun brings years of management and retail marketing experiences, previously working for Displayit Inc., consulting for Reef, and owning Voyager Displays before founding West of 5 to become Head of Business Development. His greatest role is creating meaningful relationships with clients, forging a strong collaborative spirit both with the West of 5 family and the businesses they serve.
He brings to the team a sense of adventure, whether it be chasing waves, carving up the slopes, or sinking putts on the golf course. His wanderlust has taken him all over the world. Travel broadens the mind, they say, as well as the soul. Each new location he sets foot in means forging new relationships, and that bond enriches the sense of perspective, of empathy, of understanding a person’s needs. It’s this curiosity for the new, the unexplored, the fresh point-of-view, that makes him one of West of 5’s greatest assets.
Come to our offices and chances are the first sweet face to greet you will be Coco, our Chief Canine Officer. Coco is West of 5’s spirit animal. She is a California girl—cool, confident, and nothing but herself. Everyone at West of 5 draws from her calming influence, her wellspring of love for all creatures big and small, four-legged or two. She is there to remind us that all good things come from collaborative, loyal relationships.
And just look at that face. We dare you not to smile when she comes to say hello. No family is complete without their dog, and West of 5 is no different.
Hung Nguyen is our logistics wizard. Whenever we need to deliver our eye-catching retail displays to your store, Hung makes sure it arrives wherever and whenever you need it. He brings decades of experience managing logistics both on land and sea. You read me right. Hung spent ten years as the factory manager for a Bearing Sea longline fishing vessel.
Hung is a U.S. Army veteran, serving as a paratrooper for three years. He and his family were themselves beneficiaries of an American military rescue when Special Forces troops helped sneak the Nguyen’s out of Vietnam before Saigon fell to the North. This event sparked a desire for Hung and his family to give back to the community.
Kindness can change the world, Hung believes. He helps spread the word all around, a logistical manager for love and understanding.
Max comes from a family of builders and designers. It’s in his blood. Ever since he was a child he’s had the curiosity and passion for breaking, taking apart and rebuilding everything he could get his hands on. Now he brings that same drive and talent to West of 5. His mission is to help the team realize their creative goals, turning their dreams and visions into reality.
While he traveled afield to study Industrial Design at Savanna College of Art and Design, he is West Coast born and bred. When he isn’t designing and building professionally, he enjoys putting his idle hands to work in the kitchen and on the grill. The challenge and patience of cooking great BBQ is the kind of exacting work on which he thrives. And he isn’t above over-indulging in the spoils of his labors.
Every design team needs to the kind of visionary who gets their hands dirty, one who knows how to turn the great idea into real work, a thing that can be held and touch. Max is the man who builds upon the strong foundation at West of 5.

Jesse and his family now reside in Hong Kong, where he and his wife raise their two daughters, accomplished artists and athletes. While he may no longer reside in SoCal, his spirited, honest and open nature make him West of 5 through and through.
Carlos is our lead builder and construction master. When we talk about turning visions into reality, Carlos is the guy that builds it. Along with his tools he brings more than decade worth of experience in wood work and construction, spending time building with Element Display Group and as a foreman for Displayit.
Away from the job site, Carlos enjoys spending quality time with his son, or tinkering in his garage. His hands are always busy. He enjoys nothing more than being the guy people can count on, delivering on the dreams and visions of the client.

Monti sees the world through his lens. In his years as a photographer, he and his camera have helped define the signature look of many brands, including Skullcandy Headphones, Levis, Gap, Redbull and Vice Magazine. But Monti sees his role as a content creator. It’s more than merely documenting a brand, but creating a style, image and attitude.
He takes his camera wherever he goes. Traveling all over the world, he lives to document people in their natural habitat. As for his natural habitat, Monti is always on the move. When he’s not photographing the lives of others, he creates his own adventure. He often competes in vintage moto races, donating his winnings to every taco stand in northern Baja. In his down time he restores vintage cameras and motorcycles.
Getting the best photo is often being at the right place at the right time. Often this means having the courage and the sense of adventure necessary to capture the moment. All these traits and more make him West of 5 material. He always makes sure to capture their good side.
